  Map locating Ibberton and Belchalwell Village Hall

Directions:

East- From Sturminster Newton take the A357 to Blandford, at the staggered crossroads (New Cross, approximately 2 miles from Sturminster Newton Town Bridge) after the Fiddleford Inn turn right to Okeford Fitzpaine, then Belchalwell and into Ibberton (about 3 miles from New Cross). The Village Hall is the first building on the left after the Ibberton village sign.

West- From Dorchester take A35 to Puddletown. Turn off on to A354 and at the roundabout take the minor road to Cheselbourne. Follow this road through Melcombe Bingham and Ansty. Turn off the road towards Bulbarrow Hill and Woolland. At the masts bear left and go straight across at the cross road at the top of Woolland Hill. Proceed down the hill(marvellous views of the Blackmore Vale). At the bottom of the hill turn right at the T junction and follow the road to Ibberton. Continue through the village of Ibberton and the Hall will be on your right just as you leave the village. 

South- From Hazelbury Bryan, diagonally opposite The Antelope Pub, take the road to the church and Woolland that passes beside the war memorial 'island'. At the school turn left and pass the church on your right. Continue along this road and until you reach a T junction after having passed through the village of Woolland. Turn left at the T junction and take the road to Ibberton. Continue through the village of Ibberton and the Hall will be on your right just as you leave the village.

Facilities:-            

The hall has a Community Premises Licence for Music, Dancing, Stage Plays, Cinematography and Indoor Sports and is able to hold 100 people for such events.

The hall was totally refurbished in 2001.

It is 10.75 metres long by 5.75 metre wide.

Up lighting giving up to 5 metres head room.     

Inside there is a suspended wooden floor, disabled toilet and a unisex toilet with hot air driers and extractor fans.

The kitchen has a cooker, fridge, auto fill 19 litre water boiler , microwave, electric toaster and extractor fan with service hatch and stable door to hall.

Sixty piece matching place setting of cockery and cutlery and small and catering teapots are available for use.

The hall has 15 square metres of portable, all-weather Easydeck staging (in 1 square metre units, available for hire).

The hall is heated by non-intrusive oil fired central heating.

There is a plentiful supply of electrical sockets on both sides of the hall, a secure wireless network and a wired network of six points. The broadband connection is also available for hire.

The windows are fitted with blackout blinds.

The hall has 12 large and 12 small folding tables and 70 chairs with further seating on benches available.

The hall has an electric piano/organ, amplified sound system and radio/cassette recorder.

Access to the hall is via a porch at the front or by a ramp from the car park around the back of the hall to a door wide enough for wheel-chair use.

There is a large well lit tarmac car park and a grass picnic area, the whole area is fenced with a kissing gate which is part of the Ibberton Millennium Path.

Smoking is not allowed inside the hall.

No spikes nor studs to be worn inside the hall.
